6th breast cancer screening campaign with aimed to timely detection and control of breast cancer begins / The increasing incidence of new BC cases in the nation / Implementation of free BC screening program in different areas of Tehran by MCI

According to the MCI public relations report, through the conference press of Dr. Ramin Sarrami Forushani, the chief of the MCI, the program was announced to various journalists and said: The sixth screening and awareness campaign about breast cancer is carried out by the MCI in cooperation with municipalities organizations and other institutes in health sector will be held simultaneously during the month of October (World's Breast Cancer Awareness Month).

Free examinations and screening facilities and providing educational packages

The chief of MCI also pointed out the provided free BC screening program and said: In the framework of this campaign, specialized centers of MCI in Tehran and other cities provide free examination and screening services for women. We anticipate this year that the number of screened women would increase by around 300 percent compared to last year following the enhanced capacities.

He also continued and emphasized: In addition to free examinations and screenings, we have also prepared various educational packages that will be extensively distributed. These packages include educational materials about self-care and early detection of breast cancer, with the intention to enhance women's awareness and prevent the malignancy.
