Chemotherapy and oncology

After a breast cancer diagnosis and following a decision to treat with chemotherapy, the patient will be referred to a clinical oncologist to undergo chemotherapy or take medications.  Moreover, suitable candidates for surgical intervention are taken to the operating room.  Based on pathologic staging information, radiation treatment may also be required during chemotherapy sessions.
