The success of the Motamed Cancer Research Institute in achieving the second rank among clinical research institutions with independent funding has been distinguished.

As reported by the Public Relations of the Motamed Cancer Research Institute, Dr. Ramin Sarami Foroushani, the head of the Motamed Cancer Research Institute, ACECR, noted: The difference in scores between first and second ranked institutes is to that extent that if the documentation of our institute's patents and some other related data for evaluations had been submitted in a timely manner, we would have achieved the first rank in this ranking. Furthermore, the Motamed Cancer Research Institute holds the first rank in this ranking among research institutions with similar areas of activity, such as cancer, hematology, stem cells, etc.

He added that in the years 2018, 2019, and 2020, despite having significantly fewer clinical research centers with independent budget rows, the Motamed Cancer Research Institute achieved ranks of 20th, 17th, and 9th respectively. He further stated: Another noteworthy point is that the Motamed Cancer Research Institute has outperformed prominent research institutions and prestigious medical universities in the country. Moreover, the difference in scores between the institute and the next-ranked institution in certain indicators is even beyond two folds.

Sarami Foroushani emphasized that in the current year, the Motamed Cancer Research Institute has also achieved top ranks both nationally and within the research units of ACECR. He stated: According to the announcement of the Biotechnology Development Headquarters of the Vice President for Science, Technology and the Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidency, among about 100 universities, research institutes, and research centers in the country, the Motamed Cancer Research Institute has been introduced as one of the top five centers (ranked A) in implementing national missions approved by the Biotechnology Development Headquarters.

It's noteworthy that in the list of the top five universities and research institutions in this evaluation, only one research institute (the Motamed Cancer Research Institute ACECR) is present. This institute has managed to exhibit its superior research capabilities alongside one university and three prominent research institutes in the country, all of which involve multiple research centers and institutes within their organizational structure, thus highlighting Motamed’s exceptional research potential.

He stated: In the evaluation of the performance in the year 2021, the research groups of Jahad University , conducted by the specialized office of medical sciences in ACECR, and during which 32 research groups with a confirmed agreement of over one year were evaluated in various indicators such as technological projects, patent registration and discovery, technology attainment, publication of books and articles, curriculum development for training courses, rankings and awards received, organizing specialized conferences and workshops, participation in specialized exhibitions, training courses and workshops, study opportunities, and publication of journals. The Cancer Genetics Research department of Motamed Cancer Research Institute, by achieving the highest score, has succeeded in achieving the first rank.
