Breast Cancer Genetics Research Group was founded in 2004 as a division of Genetics department, Motamed Cancer Institute. The research area of this group is basically focus on the novel diagnostic, prognostic, and risk assessment biomarkers as well as early detection approaches in breast cancer.

This research group has been successfully completed multiple projects so far, and various research projects are being conducted in the fields of cellular and molecular oncology and biomarkers through different omics platforms (i.e. Genomics, proteomics, metabolomics and bioinformatics).

Breast cancer genetics research group aims to identify novel biomarkers and consequently determine targeted treatment to develop precision medicine for breast cancer via taking advantage of modern techniques and instruments in molecular laboratories of Motamed Cancer Institute.
