The first implementation phase of the Early Detection National Network of Breast Cancer will be operational within the coming month

According to the public relations report of Motamed Cancer Research Institute, Dr. Sarrami stated: The establishment of a national network for the prevention and early detection of women's cancer, especially breast cancer, was assigned to this research institute in 2022-2033 in the form of a national mission by the Islamic Consultative assembly.

Pointing out that breast cancer is the second cause of death and the first cause of cancer-related death, he said based upon the importance of detection time and ultimately correct treatments of this disease:

Breast cancer is the most important cause of women's deaths in Iran and in the world, and the condition of this disease in Iran is worse comparing to the world rates. Breast cancer is relatively more common than other cancers. Studies show that the incidence of breast cancer in Iran shows an increasing rate. Hence, it can be said that there is a person with breast cancer in every family. It is even possible that the results of field investigations will reveal worse conditions.

He added: If this disease is diagnosed at the right time, the cost of treatment and the complications caused by the treatment will be reduced and the life of the patients will be increased. The right time to diagnose cancer causes changes in different conditions.

Dr. Asieh Olfat Bakhsh, Vice President of Motamed Cancer Institute, in continuation of the Motamed Cancer Research Institute, is ready to provide services to women in several provinces.

Dr. Hamid Ahmadi, director of the breast cancer superspecial polyclinic, considered mammography as a compulsory test after the age of 40 and said: Women should know that even if they do not have any problems, they should have a mammogram after the age of 40, since the early signs of breast cancer can only be detected by mammography.

He added: Breast cancer screening is beneficial to the country's health system.

Dr. Rahele Anvari, the secretary of the 5th Motamed National Cancer Campaign, also said in this meeting in the context of the programs of this campaign: this campaign, in cooperation with the Red Crescent, has been equipped with ambulance buses for 15 days in the biggest squares and high-traffic areas of Tehran, and people can take advantage of free examination by Motamed specialists and free training of our experts.

The secretary of the 5th Motamed National Cancer Campaign also stated: free examination of women in Tehran is open to the public every day at the Motamed Cancer Research Institute, located in Vanak Square, and women can make an appointment through the following number:

4 free examinations and general education in 4 parks in Tehran

Dr. Anvari stated that we have a program of free examination and free education in collaboration with municipalities in different regions and also said: Four days in four big parks of Tehran, including Laleh Park, Al-Mahdi Park, Khavaran and Khayyam Parks, in cooperation with the National Foundation for Charity and Cancer Control and the National gathering Network of This program will be held in Tehran's Laleh Park on October 18.

She also said: Free breast cancer screening tests will be conducted for three days in Guilan province with the cooperation of Behesht camp.

Anvari mentioned the provinces of Alborz, Ilam, Markazi, Kurdistan and Azarbaijan Gharbi as the regions where large educational gatherings and free examinations will be held during the 5th national campaign of Motamed Jihad University Cancer Research Center.
