The 19th gratitude ceremony of the "Professors' dignity" conference was held / Glorification of emeritus professors

According to the public relations report of Motamed Cancer Research Institute, the 19^th gratitude ceremony of the "Professors' dignity" was held under the auspices of Tehran Medical University ACECR organization on Tuesday, January 5, hosted by Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS).

During the 19^th gratitude program of "Professors' dignity", 10 professors from Tehran University of Medical Sciences were acknowledged.

Ardeshir Qavamzadeh, Professor of Hematology, Faculty of Medicine; and the head of the board of hematology and oncology in Motamed Cancer Research Institute was among acknowledged people in this ceremony.

The head of Tehran ACECR Medical Sciences also stated in this ceremony: Knowledge gives human societies the power to perceive. Without knowledge, we cannot find the power to understand the evolution and applications of science.

Stating that 22 years ago, he was concerned about the retirement of professors, he said: When professors retire and leave the university, we are deprived of the opportunity to benefit from them. We shared this concern with Dr. Abulfazl Fateh and I brought up the idea of establishing "Professors' House".

The head of Tehran ACECR Medical Sciences continued: In this regard dr. Fateh said that we should pursue the issue of establishing the "professor's house" through the university, but he suggested to conduct a gratitude ceremony of the "Professors' dignity" with the aim of appreciating and glorificating emeritus professors, and this important program was started with great guidance and support of professors Dr. Alireza Yalda.

Dr. Masoud Habibi emphasized on the role of knowledge in the development of civilizations and explained: We all know that knowledge plays a fundamental role in the development of civilizations, although civilization has other components, it has geography, history, and culture, but the most important component is the knowledge.
