Lymphedema/ Rehabilitation
Lymphedema, which can develop after surgery and radiation therapy, is caused by damage tothe lymphatic system. The diagnosis of lymphedema is usually made clinicallyand confirmed by physical examination and special measurements. The patient is visited first by a lymphedema therapist and then referred to lymphedema experts to receive treatment designed earlier.
Rehabilitation and lymphedema clinic
The activities of the Rehabilitation and Lymphedema Clinic of Motamed Cancer Institute include consultation and training on the necessary care to prevent lymphedema and treatment through physiotherapy, massage and bandages, CDT in accordance with the most advanced treatment methods in the world.
The following services are offered to respected patients in the rehabilitation and lymphedema clinic:
- Counseling and training on necessary care to prevent lymphedema (initial and after care)
- In Man using physiotherapy methods, CDT massage and bandage according to the standards of the world
- Family counseling in various fields of communication, personal, family, social and marital by experienced family counselors in the field of breast cancer
- Counseling and teaching suitable sports for physical and mental rehabilitation by experienced sports professionals
